In order to be a head of the dragon, it must exercise headship over Israel, do you know if it must control Mesopotamia as well? That's been on my mind since the war with Iraq began. If I am not mistaken Mesopotamia was part of the first 6 empires. Please let me know your understanding of that.
Thanks
Bro Jim ScottJim Scottnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9192893332961330051.post-88028679396331190602009-08-18T08:01:57.301-05:002009-08-18T08:01:57.301-05:00ICor. 15:45-47 "The first man Adam was made a...ICor. 15:45-47 "The first man Adam was made a living soul, the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was NOT first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual". The first man is of the earth earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven". Jesus was given the Spirit 'without measure' and this was at his birth. How would you prove that Adam had the H.G.? Did Eve? Did all the animals? When man became a living 'soul', the same word is translated 'life' in Ch. 1:30, and this applies to animals. Would you please explain how Adam had the H.G.? Math. 13:52 commands us to look in the N.T. also to prove all things. Thank you, Bro. Rules and regulations do not produce righteousness.Holiness standards do not produce righteousness. It does produce however a Pharisee. No other sect followed the law to the letter like the Pharisees yet Jesus said they were full of iniquity. Jesus did not die on the cross so we could all be spirit filled Pharisees. He came and died to fulfill his promise to write his laws on our hearts. We will be truly righteous and be able to love God with all our heart mind and soul and our neighbor as ourselves if we put our faith in that promise. read Hebrews 11 and you will find a unique correlation.God makes a promise and his servant believes that promise. That is true faith Paul says they were counted righteous for believing. So if we believe what God promises(we would be like him) believe like Abraham unwavering, then he will fulfill it in us.Let us put our faith in his promises and allow his principles do be instilled in us.let us also reject all false ideology that only causes us to judge ourselves with ourselves. It is understanding the principles that allow us to develop further into deeper spiritual understanding, and to know what it means to walk in the Spirit. A by product of rules without the understanding and also without personal conviction, inevitably produces self righteousness. There most definitely is a proper way to dress "in Christ", but I don't see how it is fitting to try to legislate it. At the same time, (in my opinion) the principle must continue to be taught as such, a Godly principle and nothing less. I think there is a difference between tradition and principle.Libbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09428025921006650503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9192893332961330051.post-90262474920182654522009-03-17T20:54:00.000-05:002009-03-17T20:54:00.000-05:00Bro. Since the dawn of the
reformation the church has been in restoration. We all agree on that.
I believe we all agree that we are still waiting for the church to be
restored. Restored into all truth and power free from hypocracy. Over
the years I have seen many changes in doctrine, standards and order in
the Body of Christ. I think changes are good how else can the church
be restored.More changes will be coming .Some ministers though, want
to hold to the order they have and be so rigid they don't welcome
change. The problem is true righteousness still has not beeen
produced. THe promise is that God would write his laws on the hearts
of man and Christ said the whole law hinged on these
commandedments:love God with your whole heart and soul and love your
neighbor as yoursellf.Thats true holiness and righteousness.I believe
men are seeing this truth yet some still hold on to a pharisee like
idealism that only cleans the outside of the saucer. Paul uses the
type in Galatians of Hagar and Sarah.I believe the message of
perfection came forth and like Abraham did with Hagar we went forth
and tried to help God bring it to pass. All it produced was Ishmael
(outer holiness)God said the promise would be to Isaac.Once true
righteousness starts being produced Ishamael will have to be cast
out.We will not be able to allow a false perception of righteousness
to prevail.Men hold on to these petty standards and yes some
traditions because of fear.Perfect love(charity) casteth out all
fear.Imagine having no fear except the fear of the Lord. Well those
are a few thoughts . it is getting late and I stopped thinking.I am
sure by now you heard about George Anthony. Mark: Like to ask you about John 8:31-47
verse #31 Jesus said if you continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed:
verse #32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Now in verse #33 The jews did'nt like Jesus saying they were not free. They were of the seed of Abraham and not of the bondwoman.
So the church under the law was Israel and to be in Israel you must be in the right bloodline. If a Male then you must keep circumcision and also hold to the commandments of God.
Now as you read on down to verse#39 The jews said we are of our father Abraham. Then Jesus said If you were of Abrahams children ye would do the works of Abraham.
Now in verse#44 Jesus said ye are of your father the devil, and the lust of your father ye do.
Jesus was talking to Jews that by the law were of the seed of Abraham. The chosen people of God under the law.
But because of their works Jesus said your not Abrahams children your of your father the devil.
Now as we move on into our day and the Body Of Christ. The Holy Ghost puts us in the family. But could it be our works and our spirit and who our headship belongs to puts us inside the boundaries of His Body.
There is only one Body of Christ, many members but His Body is one. 1 Cor. 12:12-13
All the members of His Body will honor Jesus as the Head.
Look at Mat.7:21-23 verse# 21 Not every one that saith unto me , Lord Lord shall enter into the KINGDOM of heaven.
To be in the Kingdom you must be willing to obey the King.
Verse#22 Many will say have we not prophesied in thy name---cast out devils--done many wonderful works?
verse#23 Jesus said depart from me, ye that work iniquity I never KNEW you.
To be under the headship of Jesus you must have spiritual conception with Him.
There will be a call come out of Her.
Bro. Able by faith committed his life into Gods hands,it is therefore Gods obligation to judge all unrighteousness. This is a perfect example for Rev.6"10 "and they cried unto me "How long O Lord holy and true doest thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth". If we avenge our selves then we have taken into our hands what belongs to God.(Rom. 12:19). By living a life of faith towards God it becomes a "testimony" not lip service but a living praise, praise that cries out weather we wake or weather we sleep. Steven at his death pulled from Psalms 31:5 "into thy hands I committ my spirit" not avenging but placeing it in Gods hands. The words breath as transelated in Gen.2:7, ghost as trasnselated in Luke1:35 and wind as transelated in Acts2:2 are from the same greek word "pneuma". I point this out to show that Adam was created with "life"(spiritually). God said that in the day that thou sinnest thou shalt surely die. We know that Adam did not die phyisicaly that day because Gen.5:5 says that Adam lived 930 yrs.So then he dided spiritualy, Rom.5:12 says by one man sin entered the world and death by sin, and death passed upon all men for all have sinned. Adam became a sinner and could only reproduce after his kind. That is why we needed Jesus to come into the world and be the last Adam, born the same, no natural father or sin would have passed on to him in birth just like all the other men after Adams fall.In order for Jesus to be able to take our place in death he could not be under the penalty himself. So Jesus came by the holy ghost and mother earth (Mary) and lived a sin free life and did all the things as a "man" that God wanted Adam to do "be fruitful" in the spirit and was able to go to the cross for us and not for his own sin. Then after his resurrection and asention he was able to send the Holy Ghost and we could be born again, this time in "life" not death. The apostil Paul said in Eph.2:1 you hath he quickened(made alive) who were dead in trespasses and sins. For me, this understanding made the whole thing resonable. Now you can produce the fruit of love that God so desired by not follwing the path that Adam took by doing your own will but by following our exampel in Jesus and doing the will of our heavenly father. As for weather Adam and Eve were actual or a type, Luke 3:38 gives the geneolagy of
Jesus all the way back to the first man Adam. I hope this gives you at least a good understanding of my perspective on this. please feel free to keep the dialogue going, you If you want to add anything.markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17802077783427504755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9192893332961330051.post-9348570588255645662009-02-28T21:18:00.000-06:002009-02-28T21:18:00.000-06:00"ok
genral terms but am unable to recall the specifics(by the way your
research on the seventh horn (i think)and the seventh head looked
very well put together but thats another mail)so im hesitant to even
ask questions on somthing i havent looked at in years.having added
copious amounts of caviots,i wonder if i could have missunderstood
when you said that God created adam and as we know breathed the
breath of life in to him,you equivicate this to the Holy Ghost?i cant
quite get my hands around that(and am greatly wishing i had my Bible
here because i usualy like to show where and what im talking about
but its my loss i assure you i will do some reading on these
things)my thoughts were that no one could get the holy ghost untill
Jesus had died, was raised from the dead, and left in the physical
sense.and then sent the comforter(the Holy Ghost) to the church on
the day of penticost i distinctly recall reading (im assuming in one
of the gospels)that Jesus spoke to(i cant remeber who) but that he
said that he was leaving(para phrase) or he had to go or couldnt stay
but that he would send a comfortor on a certain day at a certain
place(the upper room)and we know im certain you could tell it better
than i because i cant remember all the details but we know the
history there. saying all that im certain that adam and eve walked
with God(that is to say that iv allwase considred that to meen that
God did move on them)and that did indeed feel his spirit(in the cool
of the day) but iv alwase looked at that as being the best that
anyone could do untill the afor mentioned critera had been met,and
the apostle Paul wrote (at least im prety sure it was him though i
cant rember what leter it was in)but he or someone else since i cant
remember where wrote about the evedince of the Holy Ghost and as i
recall it was fairly specific though i cannot recall the exact
wording i know that it stated that the only evidence was either
speaking in unknown tongues or in other tongues(their are several
veriations i cant remember them all right now but i do know they are
distictly differant) i will have to get back to you on this part.in
genral it seems to me that Moses,Aberham, enock and all the profits
had a simular relationship with God as adam differing mainly in the
frequentsy of their visits.on another note as i think answers to
these isues could clear up my questions and i may have taken what you
said the wrong way in any case iv often wonderd with all the type and
shadow of the adam, eve, snake, apple and garden story where do we stop
with type and shadow where does it start?i personaly think that adam
is a type of man eve of woman etc.. i dont think there were ever only
two people i think that its a story to tell about men and women in
genral terms taking in to account that moses wrote it and the way
that they learned morals or Gods will or what have you,i just dont
know about these arbitrary lines of this is litteral while this is
type you know?why cant the garden be this state of mind/spiritual
state that the original men/women (in my theory) were in and they
happend to be(i cant remember exactly)between the eufrates and the
nile...or where ever it says the moral of the story is still the same
today.i have asked men of our group why this or that and i couldnt
believ what i heard it was the same excuse!i call it the adam defense
its litterly the oldest one in the book!i was shocked!my wife?i felt
like explaining to him what he had just said!who among us thinks that
if God wasnt playn the Tu Quo Que then that its going to fly now?but
paul said it too if a man is married he will have trouble in the
flesh i para phrase but thats kinda what i think its a picture of
what paul said in a sentence,it all comes down to self control and
doing what You know to be right no matter what!its all through the
bible adam was guilty of the glutony which simply means he couldnt
control his appatite for you name it,they can all take over and run
the show it can be food, libation, sex that is often thought to be
original sin as im certain you are aware but i think gluttony covers
it from apples to whatever sexual appatite but i could be compleatly
off the farm on this one you let me know what you think, sorry for
the You left a comment on facebook about the tree of knowledge of good and evil being in the center of the garden. It's interesting to note that both trees are in the garden the tree of life of which thou mayest "freely eat" and the tree of knowledge of which thou mayest "not eat or even touch" doesn’t this sound like the instructions found al through the scriptures. The garden is a spiritual place where you are fully enlightened and in dominion, a fully matured Christian one who is no longer a "little child" John2:1 that is not to say that you could not fall away because we know that Adam did. But I reference Heb.6:4-6 showing it is where eternal judgment takes place. This is pretty heavy subject matter I know, but I think we know that the only unforgiveable sin is the unrepented of sin. It's just that there comes a point when there's nothing else God can do, it has been settled that in full light you've decided that you "know better than God" But on the up side this is where there is unlimited access to the tree of life or as was said of Jesus he was given the Holy Ghost with out measure. What a concept! This is what were restoring it’s the place the early church was in and it's going to fill the whole earth and never go out of existence. What an environment the 1000 yrs will be, a perfect place for people to be saved.markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17802077783427504755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9192893332961330051.post-32441735605194763302009-02-27T05:30:00.000-06:002009-02-27T05:30:00.000-06:00Great to hear from you bro.steve, I,m not sure if ...Great to hear from you bro.steve, I,m not sure if I'm fully understanding your thought. By referanceing the 2nd beast in Dan. 7 are you looking for a coalition (like the Meads and Persians)? Heres my take,Lets see if were close. In Dan.7 there are four beast mentioned,1.was the existing power at that time "Babalon".Important to note not just a world power but they had this place as head over Isreal. 2. Was the Meads and Persians, who interesingly enough were considered one beast though two nations were involved. 3. Greeace and 4. Rome. Is this how you see it? The point I'm makeing that to be pictured as a head on this beast in Rev. 13 you had to have this place of headship over Isreal directly. the papacy never had that because of 70 A.D.. All the nations Imentioned had this relationship. Although concored by military force at some point Isreal accepted these nations. John 19:15 the jews responded "we have no king but ceaser". This is the reason "I"and I enphasize be cause I dont want to come across in some imphatic way as If could'nt be wrong, that I see some nations pictured as heads and some pictured as horns. There is the ten kings mentioned in Rev.13 they are called the 8th and of the 7 but pictured as horns. And my reasoning is because at that time Isreal will have fulfilled the type pictured in Sampson who commited suicide while destroying the gentile powers ruleing over them. this is the fall of the seventh head and the final punishment on Isreal. This is getting lengthy, I'm sorry. Anyway I do see a coalition of nations in these ten kings at the end but I think we are still in the time of the seventh head who must rule for a "short space" Rev.17 and then the ten kings who rule for the space of one hour with the beast.markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17802077783427504755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9192893332961330051.post-20042885100836255022009-02-26T20:40:00.000-06:002009-02-26T20:40:00.000-06:00Dear Brother Mark: Enjoyed the reading. Have you considered that a more appropriate 'title' for the 'Government In Power' at the end time, in the last days, is the "Second Beast"? (Daniel 7:5, Revelations 4:7, and Revelations 6:3) This is most likely a unified World System such as the current governmental organization the "United Nations" U.N. this organization, or one like it, being the 'System'(The Second Beast) and then the seven heads on that Beast being the following... 1.Military (NATO, UNSCOM, etc.) 2.Executive (Secretary General, Security Council, etc.) 3.Economic (IMF, World Bank, etc.) 4.Industrial (Trade Agreements, Unions, Associations, etc.) 5.Social (Health Care, Relief Organizations, etc.) 6.Communications (TV, News Media, Internet, Radio, etc.) 7.Religion (World Council of Churches, Papacy, Islamic Organizations, etc.).
Let me know what you think.
-Steve ShultsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9192893332961330051.post-68980669550152814562009-02-26T16:49:00.000-06:002009-02-26T16:49:00.000-06:00Amen.
